The History Teachers Education Network

HTEN is an organisation for history teacher educators and is a membership network/association which represents those who work with and have responsibility for the professional education, development and training of beginning and serving history teachers. Beginning history teachers are defined as those who are currently undertaking an ITE course and those who are newly and recently qualified teachers (NQTs and RQTs).

HTEN membership is open to all those working with and responsibility for history teacher education whether working in a history education role in ITE or CPD at a HEI, a SCITT, as a history lead in a MAT or at local authority level and in heritage, museum and CPD providing organisations.
